If you are taking a career break or retiring but still want to keep in touch, Non-practising membership is the best option. There is no need to hold insurance or complete any continued professional development (CPD). You may upgrade to practising membership again at any time.

You should contact an IFPA accredited aromatherapy training school and ask about completing an upgrade course. The school will assess the work you have already done and if further education is needed the school will provide it. There is a charge for these services payable to the school. A complete list of our schools can be found here. Please note that the establishments marked as CPD Centre do not offer the IFPA upgrade course. Please contact the IFPA office when you have completed the extra training in order to upgrade your membership category.
