Free membership of the College of Medicine for IFPA members
Great news! Mary Chancellor has negotiated free membership of the College of Medicine for IFPA members until March 2014. After that, members who are using the site will need to pay for annual membership. However, this fee is based on income and anyone who earns less than £15,000 will pay £10.00 per year. The College of Medicine originally only extended it's membership to physicians and nurses but from this year membership has been opened up to healthcare professionals, patients, etc.

IFPA Clinical Guidelines for Safe Practice
The recent work on clinical guidelines in Pregnancy are now available to download from the website. The cancer guidelines have been well recieved by members and are now also free to download. Council support the importance of safety in practice and the guidelines are to be a continued work for council. We recognise the wealth of expertise within the membership and have decided to invite members to contribute this expertise to share with others. Working with babies and young children is often a client group some therapists have little or no experience since qualifying and the IFPA would welcome practitioners who have experience and knowledge to contribute to compliling a set of guidelines. If you feel you would be interested please contact and send your CV and any relevant information to IFPA CPD Chair, Penny Price who is co-ordinating this activity by the 1st December, either by e-mail or post. Penny will put together a working group in the new year and work will be co-ordinated via e-mail as much as possible.
